KITCHEN & POINT-OF-USE
Installed at the sink (cold water supply) to provide filtration for drinking and cooking. CARBON POINT-OF-USE are cost effective alternatives to bottled or other point-of-use systems on the market and do not waste water. Upgrades available for removal of bacterial, viral, e-coli and/or microorganism safeguards. REVERSE-OSMOSIS (RO) 5-micron re-sediment filter which removes suspended matter, dirt, rust, and sediment to improve performance of the other filters. The GAC post filter removes chlorine and other volatile organic compounds to improve taste, clarity and odor. The CTA membrane removes inorganic, minerals, and total dissolved solids, lead and cysts (giardia and cryptosporidium). No waste water. Upgrades available for removal of bacterial, viral, e-coli and/or microorganism safe guards.
BOTTLED WATER CONCERNS
Bottled water is unregulated and doesn't have to meet the standards of municipal water. It may contain contaminates and toxins. The cost of oil and the transportation of plastic water bottles make this product not very sustainable. Plastic bottles leach chemicals into the water called plasticizers. These chemicals mimic estrogen. They leach into the water and play havoc with the hormones in our bodies, producing a variety of physiological responses by the body. A few of the major health issues are breast and prostate cancers. Plastic bottles are a menus to our environment. 87% do not get recycled and it takes up to 1,000 years for one bottle to break down.
EWS WATER CONDITIONING
Whole-home filtration and physical conditioning. The best of both worlds! In use worldwide, the conditioning is a catalytic process is called Increased Calcite Nucleation (ICN) and is an alternative to softening without the problems of environment harming salts. The ICN process is not be confused with water softening which is the exchange of naturally found minerals for either sodium or potassium chloride and can be very aggressive and corrosive. RO UNITS
Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems are a more aggressive form of filtration where water is pushed through a membrane to reject inorganic contaminants as well as naturally found minerals. We have systems that are for municipal or well water. RO systems aren’t a one-size-fits-all solution. It is extremely important to know what needs to be removed from the water. The items that these systems reject through their membrane are highly regulated through your municipally-treated water and therefore may be misapplied in many instances. If you like a more stripped down, flatter water taste or you’re allergic to the fluoride put into city tap water, then this is for you. Please be aware that RO systems have a history of being marketed heavily by softener sales people as a way to remove the salt that ssofteners put into the water. Ironically, the common reason for filtration is to improve taste and odor, yet with the carbon post filters, the RO system and the membrane alone cannot provide tasty, quality water. Our RO units use 3.4 gallons to make 1 gallon of water.
